Run over three days, a highlight of the HMFD is the Machine of the Year Award.

One entrant in the HMFD Machine of the Year Award is the Unverferth 2070 grain cart which can be fitted with patented Equalizer tracks that are independently cambered to follow ground contours and optimise flotation.

The 2070, with a capacity of 70 cubic metres, has been entered in the Henty Machine of the Year Award by OZ Value Ag, Ballarat, Victoria. It has a pivoting auger with 1.52m of height adjustability and directional spout with in/out movement for improved grain placement and maximum unloading ease.

A computer balanced 11.1mm thick auger flighting provides added life and durability.
Lower and upper vertical auger flighting is synchronised for added unloading speed and gentler grain handling while a patented auger connection ensures smooth engagement of the upper and lower auger sections, according to Oz Value Ag.

The exclusive drivetrain design combines a belt drive for the 51cm diameter horizontal auger and a heavy-duty direct-drive, 90-degree gearbox for the unloading auger. The dual-strand belt-drive features dual spring-loaded tensioners for easy maintenance.

The PTO features quick-coupling, a 1000rpm run speed with overrunning clutch to protect the driveline components while a rubber-cushioned drawbar tongue smoothes the ride over rough terrain and reduces drawbar stress.

A weatherguard roll tarp is standard for protecting the contents as is a scale kit to monitor the cart's payload. Tandem axles with wheels can also be fitted.

The Henty Machinery Field Days will be held at Henty next week from Tuesday 20 September to Thursday 22 September. For more details, visit www.hmfd.com.au
