Among the new gear on show was an 8000 litre capacity Case IH 50 Series self-propelled sprayer and 55 tonne capacity Unverferth chaser bin, through Oz Value Ag.

Croplands also announced at the MMFD the impending arrival of a new self-propelled sprayer to its range - the Vortex 390.

The Patriot SP was shown by dealership group O'Connors, that will fit the 8000L tanks to the Patriots by adding a centre extension to the existing 6000L tank. The bigger capacity however comes at the expense of extra overall height, with the 8000L Patriot measuring 4.5m tall.

The Croplands Vortex 390 is another high capacity sprayer, with a 7500L main tank and 1500L "dual purpose" tank, making the sprayer ready for spot or selective spraying and able to handle more than one chemical at once.

The Vortex is a US-built chassis and cab and will be fitted out by Croplands in Australia to suit customer-specific requirements for plumbing (for example nozzle spacing).

Power (from a 9.0L Cummins diesel with an output of 291kW) is delivered to the wheels via a mechanical drive (with a top road speed of 80km/h) and there are two aluminium boom options, being 36m and 40m.

Croplands expects to have demonstration units available later this year or early next year.
