Marshall Multispread: Spreading Australia-wide

For 120 years Roesner has been servicing the Australian agriculture sector and today it continues to innovate to keep in time with the needs of the modern-day farmer.

Roesner was founded by Arthur Roesner back in 1900, with now well over 10,000 Marshall Multispread units having been manufactured by the company.

"From humble Blacksmiths, four generations of the Roesner family are proud of their achievements in engineering and manufacturing and their contribution to the Australian Agricultural industry," said Jeff Roesner.

Today, Roesner operates out of 7000 square metres of shed space in Harvey, Western Australia, a facility that uses modern manufacturing methods such as digital prototyping, laser cutting, CNC machining and automated paint mixing. Roesner continues to integrate modern manufacturing methods and continual design improvements to meet the requirements of today's agricultural industry.

The Marshall Multispread range

Roesner's range of the Marshall Multispread includes the economically-priced 800 Series with chain/belt feed and the premium 900 Series endless feed belt machines.

The 800 Series variant is an economically-priced machine, first released to the market in the early 1980s. The feed system on the 800 Series machines includes a 2-ply rubber belt attached to high grade, calibrated 10mm chain and drive sprockets. The chain system is supported by heavy-duty, wear-resistant nylon skids ensuring a positive drive.

The premium 900 Series configuration was first released in the early 2000s. It features a heavy-duty PVC endless belt which is driven by a rubber-lagged pulley and supported by low maintenance stainless steel rollers.

To aid belt tracking, troughing rollers are fitted inside the chassis and a front cage roller is used for adjustment of belt tension.

Roesner has spreaders to suit all types of farms, from 2.5t to 16t trailer models, as well as truck mount machines and custom builds. The options list is extensive with popular extras such as loadcells, variable rate technology (VRT) drives and 3m tracks.

"Roesner recognises that it is important to keep in touch with the needs of the modern-day farmer and accordingly spends as much time in the field as possible, working with them to better understand their needs and challenges," stated Technical Director, Matthew Roesner.

Roesner's commitment to improve its products is illustrated by the i4M Variable Rate Controller system.

"The modern-day farmer faces many challenges with many of these challenges being unpredictable. Farmers are constantly adapting and learning and we plan to continually innovate to support the modern-day farmer, whether that be through new machines, spare parts or servicing - anywhere across Australia," Matt said.

Roesner's resources and knowledge are deployed for the design and manufacture of products and components for harsh agricultural applications. The Marshall Multispread is built with precision and built to last.
