Research Report: 2019 self-propelled sprayers update (April 2019)

Kondinin Group has tested four of the latest large-scale, self-propelled sprayers.

The SP sprayer marketplace continues to evolve, with a range of new models released every year, complemented by wider boom options becoming available on existing machines.

The top end of the SP market is looking formidable, and it isn’t hard to spend more than $800,000 to land a new SP sprayer on farm.

Updating previous Kondinin Group sprayer reports is now becoming a yearly proposition, with our last research report published only six months ago (see Farming Ahead 322, November 2018).

In this report, we test the Hagie STS16, Hardi Saritor 62 Active, and the Goldacres G4036 4WD and G8048.

Arguably, farmers are spoilt for choice with sprayers from a range of manufacturers, with different tank capacities, boom widths, plumbing setups, mechanical or hydrostatic drive, and weed recognition systems.
