Producer: No mulesing could make Merinos a memory

Come the phase out of mulesing in 2010 Henry and Christine White, Coolah, central New South Wales are contemplating not farming Merino sheep at all. The couple farm 1800 hectares and run 4500 sheep. About 1250 Merino lambs are mulesed annually and about the same number of first cross lambs are marked only. Henry told Farming Ahead how the phase out of mulesing has himself and other producers anxious about the future of Merino sheep in their area.
