Farmer: no mulesing, less sheep

The phasing out of mulesing is likely to see mixed farmers in south-western Western Australia forget sheep and concentrate on cropping, according to producer Brad Wooldridge. Brad farms 1247 hectares at Arthur River where he annually muleses about 1500 lambs. Brad told Farming Ahead, with the fly-strike problem high to extreme in his area, he was concerned about the productivity of Merino sheep after 2010.
