Scholarships valued at $15,500 each will be provided to up to two successful applicants to take part in Leadership WA's 10-month Signature Leadership program.

One 2023 scholarship place has already been pre-allocated to Julie Freeman from Mullewa, WA, a 2022 applicant, leaving one remaining 2023 vacancy for a suitable candidate.

The Signature Leadership Program brings together participants from across industries and sectors and will expand the pool of growers ready to take on leadership positions within the industry and even at CBH.

Program participants are given an insight into current and future issues affecting WA while building on their self-awareness, accountability, reflection, and resilience.

CBH chief external relations officer, Brianna Peake, said the scholarship program is part of the co-operative's commitment to fostering leadership capacity within WA's regional communities.

"Having a pipeline of strong leaders is so important for our industry, communities and CBH," Peake said.

"We have many capable and talented people in our industry and CBH is proud to support their leadership journey enabling them build capacity to give back to their community."

GGA chief executive officer, Rikki Foss, said the Growing Leaders Scholarship program impacted WA's grain sector at a grassroots level but also had a ripple effect in regional communities.

Leadership WA's chief executive officer, Dominique Mecoy, said the outcomes for the individuals that submerse themselves in the unparalleled Signature Leadership Program are countless.

Applications close on 31 July for the 2023 Signature Leadership Program. To apply, visit https://www.gga.org.au/activity/cbh-growing-leaders-scholarship/
