The update is available with all 2017 delivery machines or as a retrofit option for existing terminals.

Besides operating CLAAS steering systems, cameras and implement controls, the S10’s functionality has been further extended to include section control and task management features.

Section control can be used to make operations such as spraying, spreading or sowing more accurate and the system can cater for odd-shaped paddocks and working around obstacles or on headlands.Detailed operating “orders” for individual sections can be created using the task management program on an office computer and then transferred to the tractor.

If necessary, the operator can change and optimise the task data via the S10 terminal in the tractor. Operating data can then be transferred back to the office computer to create proof-of-placement maps. The S10 features a 264mm or 10.4 inch touchscreen capable of displaying multiple application screens. A ‘favourites’ menu allows users to create a personal access screen that displays up to 12 commonly-used functions.
