Bare breech alternative promising

As the Australian wool industry's self-imposed 2010 deadline for the phasing out of mulesing looms, scientists are investigating alternatives in a bid to come up with a permanent, cost-effective<br/> method to help prevent breech strike in Merino sheep.<br/> One possibility involves selectively breeding Merinos for resistance to breech strike. CSIRO researchers are evaluating the effectiveness of<br/> this option and the preliminary results are promising.
