With just a month under their belt, ARAG Australia are developing software to utilise eBeeSQ drone captured imagery to generate application maps for spray application with their ARAG individual nozzle control system.

The Keeneye software being developed in readiness for post-2017-harvest, will use eBeeSQ images to identify broadleaf weeds and create an application map for spraying.

CEO of ARAG Australia, Kym Eldredge, says the aim is to identify and target summer weeds down to 3cm in size on stubble or fallow ground. Loading the application map into an ARAG individual nozzle control boom will then see individual weeds sprayed.

The system will compete with dedicated selective sprayer systems, for example a WeedIT or WeedSeekers.

The Keeneye software will be available on an individual monthly subscription basis for around $200 per month, eBeeSQ drone packages with flight planning software cost around $22,000 including GST.
